High school honors student earn college credit at Boston University Summer Term

High School Honors

The High School Honors application deadline has been extended to June 1st, 2012.

For academically motivated rising juniors and seniors, the summer High School Honors Program provides an opportunity to experience undergraduate life—in the classroom and around campus—while earning college credit.

During this six-week summer high school honors program, students are enrolled in two summer academic courses of their choice, studying alongside Boston University undergraduates and earning up to eight college credits. The High School Honors Program offers more than 100 undergraduate courses in a range of exciting subjects not typically available in high school classrooms—such as medical anthropology, Buddhism, and economics. Students receive guidance in identifying subject areas and courses that are appropriately challenging and applicable to future college work.

Outside of class, High School Honors program students interact with a vibrant community of peers from all over the United States and the world, participating in planned social activities on campus and throughout the city of Boston—whether they live on-campus or choose to commute from home.
