Alyson Sheppard (COM’08) of Brooklyn, N.Y., was recently promoted to associate research editor at Popular Mechanics magazine.
Cara (Mistal) Bertrand (SED’99,’04) of Sturbridge, Mass., was a finalist for the 2011 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award. Her young adult manuscript, Lost in Thought, focuses on a group of students who are psychically gifted.
Ellen Harvey (CFA’88) of New York, N.Y., costars with Daniel Radcliffe and John Larroquette in the Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Ellen was a 2011 Helen Hayes Award nominee for her performance as Miss Andrew in Mary Poppins at the Kennedy Center.
Michael Landa (ENG’88) of Austin, Tex., is the founder and CEO of Nulo, a company that provides nutritional dog and cat foods. Michael also owns the Los Angeles-based The Pet Staff, a professional pet service company.
