Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni

Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni (author page at Amazon) is a poet and author of novels for adults and children. Her books have been translated into 20 languages. Two novels, The Mistress of Spices and Sister of My Heart, have been made into films. (updated 6/2010)

Divakaruni's story "The Lives of Strangers" was reprinted in the 2002 Pushcart Prize anthology, as well as the 2002 O. Henry Prize Stories anthology.
