Catullus
Catullus (author page at Amazon) was a poet in the first century BCE, considered one of the first distinctive voices of Roman poetry. He wrote in a variety of meters and forms and touched upon a broad range of subjects, though some of his most famous poems chronicle his relationship with a woman he gave the pseudonym "Lesbia."
